City trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable

Service changes

Flinders Street

  • Route 70/75 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Swanston Street

  • Route 1/6 trams run in sections with no trams between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 14 Arts Precinct
  • No Route 3/5/16/64/67/72 trams run between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Melbourne University.
  • Some Route 1 trams divert via Kings Way, William Street and La Trobe Street between Stop 20 Dorcas Street and Stop 7 RMIT University
  • Some Route 6 trams divert via Kings Way, William Street and La Trobe Street between Stop 20 ANZAC Station and Stop 7 RMIT University

Bourke Street

  • Route 86/96 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Reason for changes

Due to a rally in the city.

Service Changes

 

When Swanston Street impacted

  • Route 1/6 trams will run in sections with no trams between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 11 Collins Street.
  • Route 3/64/67 trams will run between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 7 Flagstaff Station diverting via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street
  • No Route 5/16/72 trams will run between the Stop 11 Collins Street and Melbourne University.

If Bourke Street impacted

  • Route 86 trams will divert via La Trobe Street between Spencer Street and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • Route 96 will operate in sections: 

- St Kilda Beach and Stop 124 Batman Park/Flinders Street 

- East Brunswick and Stop 1 Southern Cross Station, Spencer Street diverting via Latrobe Street.
