Community organisations to share $1 million of tram network advertising value

03 Sep 2018

Not-for-profit organisations have the chance to share their message with hundreds of thousands of people across Melbourne through the 2019 Yarra Trams Community Partnerships Program.

Yarra Trams has announced the application dates for the program, which received more than 200 submissions in its hugely successful 2018 debut year.

Eight community organisations will share in $1 million of free advertising value, each receiving either a wrapped tram or 100 tram faces (panels on each end of the tram) for three months.

The program partners with community organisations that champion diversity and inclusion in Melbourne.

Yarra Trams CEO, Nicolas Gindt, who chairs the program’s selection panel, said: “Yarra Trams believes strongly in contributing to Melbourne’s liveability by extending our support beyond the rails to the communities we represent.

“It has been a delight to work with our 2018 community partners to make a positive impact on diversity and inclusion in Melbourne, and I am proud of what we have achieved so far.

“We are committed to providing $1 million of free advertising on our network every year until at least 2024. To make the process fair, open and transparent, we are inviting all organisations making a positive impact in diversity and inclusion in Melbourne to apply.”

Applications to partner with Yarra Trams in 2019 are open until Friday, 21 September 2018.

Applications will take the form of a video submission of up to two minutes, with 20 shortlisted applicants invited to complete a written submission.
