Reason for service changes

Due to road closures associated with the Lunar Festival in Victoria Street, Richmond.

Service changes

Route 12 trams run a shortened service between St Kilda and Stop 18 Hoddle Street.

Route 109 trams divert via Wellington Parade and Bridge Road between Stop 8 Spring Street and Stop 29 Barkers Road.

Buses replace Route 12 and Route 109 trams:

3am to 7am

• between Stop 7 101 Collins Street and Stop 29 Barkers Road.

7am to last tram

• between Stop 16 Wellington Street and Stop 29 Barkers Road.

Buses divert around the festival precinct via Hoddle, Elizabeth and Church streets.

Replacement bus service

Find your replacement bus using Busminder or DM us at @yarratrams (Facebook or X) for assistance.

The following stops will not be serviced by replacement buses:

• Stop 8 Spring Street
• Stop 10 Parliament Station
• Stop 11 Albert Street
• Stop 18 Hoddle Street
• Stop 25 River Boulevard

Tram replacement buses service temporary bus stops or existing PTV bus stops where possible. Follow at stop orange signage for directions to temporary bus stops.

Accessibility

For a taxi service between closed stops during service changes passengers can call PTV on 1800 800 007 or speak to a customer service employee.

Alternative travel options

• Trains to or from North Richmond Station on the Hurstbridge or Mernda line
• Route 78 trams along Church Street to connect with diverting Route 109 trams on Bridge Road.
• Bus 246 along Hoddle Street between Bridge Road and Victoria Street.

During this time, trams and replacement buses run to normal frequency, however they may not arrive at the scheduled time due to traffic congestion in the festival area.
