Disruption to city trams - Saturday 15 November

Services resuming

City services have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Until 3pm, No Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between Stop 20 Anzac Station and Melbourne University. Trams divert from Stop 20 Anzac Station via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street to Stop 7 Flagstaff Station.

Service changes

Swanston Street

  • No Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between Stop 20 Anzac Station and Melbourne University. Trams divert from Stop 20 Anzac Station via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street to Stop 7 Flagstaff Station.

Bourke Street

  • Route 86 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop D1 Docklands Stadium and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • Route 96 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 122 Southern Cross Station and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • A limited Route 86a shuttle service runs between Spencer Street and Stop 7 Russell St.

La Trobe Street

  • Route 30 trams are not running. Use diverting Route 86a/96a trams along La Trobe Street.

Tram service changes

Planned service changes from 11am to 3pm

  • No Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between Stop 20 Anzac Station and Melbourne University. Trams divert from Stop 20 Anzac Station via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street to Stop 7 Flagstaff Station.

When Swanston Street is affected

  • No Route 1 and Route 6 trams run between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
  • No Route 5, 16 and 72 trams run between the Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Melbourne University.

When Collins Street is affected

  • Route 11 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop D2 Central Pier.
  • No Route 12 trams run between Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Victoria Gardens. 
  • No Route 48 trams run between Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Stop 13 Simpson St.
  • Route 109 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park. 

When Flinders Street is affected

  • No Route 70/75 trams run between Stop 6 Russell St and Stop 4 Flinders Street Station.

When Spring Street is affected

  • Route 86/96 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 11 Melbourne Museum and Spencer Street.
  • Route 30 will operate as a Route 86a between Spencer Street and Stop 4 Queen St.
  • Route 35 will operate between Docklands and Stop 4 Flinders Street Station/Elizabeth Street via Harbour Esplanade.
