Services Resuming

• Route 86/96 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Tram service changes

Due to a tram fault in Nicholson Street.

• Route 86 trams to Bundoora RMIT divert via La Trobe Street between Stop D1 Docklands Stadium/La Trobe St and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
• Route 96 trams to East Brunswick divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 122 Southern Cross Station and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
• A limited Route 86a/ 96a shuttle tram runs between Stop 1 Southern Cross Station and Stop 7 Russell Street.

Alternative travel options

• Swanston Street/ Elizabeth Street/ William Street trams to connect with diverting services
• City Loop trains 

Estimated impact to services: Over 30 minutes
