Reason for service changes
We’re building more accessible tram stops on Toorak Road at South Yarra Station. We’re also upgrading the power supply near the intersection of Toorak Road and Chapel Street.

Service changes
10pm Friday 11 June to last tram Friday 18 June
- Route 58 trams run a shortened service between West Coburg and Stop 123 Fawkner Park.
- Buses replace Route 58 trams along Toorak Road between Stop 22 Toorak Road and Stop 139 Glenferrie Road, diverting around the work zone.
Wednesday 16 June to Thursday 17 June, first to last tram
- Buses replace Route 78 trams between North Richmond and Balaclava.
Tram stop changes
The following tram stops will be closed for the duration of the works:
Route 58
- Stop 125 Punt Rd (to West Coburg)
- Stop 126 Myrtle St (to West Coburg)
- Stop 127 South Yarra Station
- Stop 128 Chapel St (to Toorak)
- Stop 128 Chapel St (to West Coburg, 16 -18 June only)
- Stop 139 Glenferrie Rd
Route 78
- Stop 65 Victoria St (16 and 17 June)
Tram replacement buses will service temporary bus stops located near existing tram stops where possible. Follow signage and advice from our customer service team for replacement buses.
Accessibility
Stop 22 Toorak Road is the last accessible tram stop. Tram replacement buses are low floor depending on availability. If you need assistance, speak to our customer service team or alert your driver.
Alternative travel options
- Cranbourne, Frankston, Glen Waverley, Pakenham and Sandringham line trains.
Please note: from Friday 11 June to Monday 14 June, buses replace trains in sections along the Cranbourne, Pakenham and Frankston lines. For more information visit ptv.vic.gov.au
