Service changes and extra trams for special events

We’re running extra trams for the below events during May and June. While trams run to their normal frequency, times may differ due to traffic congestion around event venues.

MCG 

• Saturday 23 May at 4.35pm - AFL Rd 11, Collingwood v West Coast Eagles.
• Friday 29 May at 7.40pm - AFL Rd 12, Carlton v Geelong.
• Friday 5 June at 7.40pm - AFL Rd 13, Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs.
• Sunday 7 June at 7.20pm - AFL Rd 13, Essendon v Carlton.
• Monday 8 June at 3.15pm - AFL Rd 13, Collingwood v Melbourne. 
• Saturday 13 June at 1.15pm - AFL Rd 14, Melbourne v Essendon. 
• Wednesday 17 June at 8.05pm - NRL State of Origin, NSW Blues v Queensland Maroons.
• Saturday 20 June at 7.35pm - AFL Rd 15, Collingwood v Port Adelaide.
• Sunday 21 June at 1.10pm - AFL Rd 15, Richmond v North Melbourne.
• Friday 26 June at 7.40pm - AFL Rd 16, Hawthorn v GWS Giants.
• Saturday 27 June at 4.15pm - AFL Rd 16, Collingwood v Richmond.

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street and Stop 7C MCG Gates 4-7/John Cain Arena or as
Route 75a between Flinders Street and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG.

Passengers at Southern Cross Station can reach Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG by using Route 48 trams along Collins Street.

Extra trams running along Flinders Street to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.

Extra tram services run as Route 86a between Stop 10 Parliament Station and Stop D1 Docklands Stadium via Bourke Street or Route 30a between Stop D1 Docklands Stadium and Stop 10 Parliament Station via La Trobe Street.
