Extra trams

We’re running extra trams for the below events during October and November. While trams run to their normal frequency, times may differ due to traffic congestion around event venues.

MCG 

  • Friday 31 October at 7.15pm - T20 international cricket, Australia v India.
  • Wednesday 12 November and Sunday 16 November at 7.30pm daily - Concert, ACDC.

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street and Stop 7C MCG Gates 4-7/John Cain Arena or as
Route 75a between Flinders Street and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG.

Passengers at Southern Cross Station can reach Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG by using Route 48 trams along Collins Street.

Extra trams running along Flinders Street to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.

Marvel Stadium 

  • Saturday 18 October at 6.15pm - Motorsport, Nitro Circus.
  • Saturday 25 October at 4.30pm - Concert, Fridayz Live (*various artists).
  • Friday 31 October, Saturday 1 November and Tuesday 4 November at 5pm daily - Concert, Oasis.
  • Saturday 8 November at 5pm - Concert, Metallica.
  • Saturday 22 November at 6pm - Motorsport, 2025 AusX Open Supercross.

Extra tram services run as Route 86a between Stop 10 Parliament Station and Stop D1 Docklands Stadium via Bourke Street or Route 30a between Stop D1 Docklands Stadium and Stop 10 Parliament Station via La Trobe Street.

Extra trams run as Route 57a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 32 Sandown Rd via Flemington Road.

Caulfield Racecourse  

  • Saturday 18 October at 10am - Caulfield Cup.

Extra tram services run as Route 3a between East Malvern and Stop 54 Kambrook Rd.

Moonee Valley Racecourse  

  • Friday 24 October at 5pm - Gold Cup Night.
  • Saturday 25 October at 10.30am - Cox Plate.

Stop 34 Moonee Valley Civic Centre (to Flinders Street Station) will be closed from 4.30pm to 11.30pm on Friday 24 October and from 10am to 7pm on Saturday 25 October. 

Extra tram services run as Route 59a between Stop 1 Spencer St/La Trobe St and Stop 32 Moonee Ponds Junction diverting via La Trobe Street and Peel Street.

Cruise ships

Cruise ships are docking at Port Melbourne. 

We are running additional Route 109 trams between Port Melbourne and the city on weekends when cruise ships are scheduled to arrive at Beacon Cove.
