Services Resuming

  • Route 48/109 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Service Changes

Due to a track fault in High Street at Kew Junction.

  • No Route 48 trams run between Stop 29 Barkers Road and North Balwyn.
  • No Route 109 trams run between Stop 29 Barkers Road and Box Hill.

Alternative travel

  • Route 109 Passengers may consider Belgrave and Lilydale line trains or Bus 612/ 284 in Union Road/ Box Hill Central, Bus 285 in Balwyn Road, Bus 624 in Auburn Road, Bus 302-304 in Belmore Road.
  • Route 48 passengers may consider Bus 200 or 207 between Kew Junction and North Balwyn.
  • A limited bus replacement service runs between Barkers Road and North Balwyn/ Box Hill, servicing existing stops where possible; bus replacements may take up to 45 minutes

This disruption is expected to take some time to clear. Plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
