Services resuming

Route 1 and 6 trams have resumed along their normal lines following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Service Changes

Due to a tram fault in Lygon Street at Richardson Street

• Route 1 and 6 trams to South Melbourne Beach/Glen Iris divert via Sydney Road/Royal Parade/Elizabeth Street/Victoria Street between Moreland Road and Stop 7 RMIT University.
• A limited Route 1 shuttle service towards the city runs between East Coburg and Stop 120 Brunswick Rd.
• Expected impact to services: over 30 minutes.

Alternative travel

• Route 19 trams in Sydney Road or Route 96 trams in Nicholson Street. 

This disruption is expected to take some time to clear. Plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
