Thursday 26 January 2023
Date and time
Thursday 26 January, first to last tram.
Reason for service changes
Due to the Australia Day public holiday.
Service changes
Trams run to a Saturday frequency with no Night Network services.
This means that if your tram usually runs every seven minutes, it will continue to do so. However, times may differ slightly from the normal Saturday timetable, with last tram running approximately one hour earlier.
Trains and buses also run to special timetables.
Please note:
- Free shuttle trams to the Australian Open run as Route 70a between Stop D6 Flinders Street West and Stop 7C MCG Gates 4-7/John Cain Arena, until one hour after the end of play each night.
- Route 12 trams divert via La Trobe and Spencer Streets between Stop 12 St Vincent’s Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park.
- Route 30 trams will not run.
- Route 35 (City Circle) trams run in a clockwise direction only from the first tram until midday then will resume as normal in both directions.
Alternative travel options
- Route 12 passengers may consider Route 11 and 109 trams along Collins Street between Stop 12 St Vincent’s Plaza and Stop 1 Southern Cross Station.
Plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
