Reason for service changes

Road closures are taking place for the Melbourne Marathon.

Service changes

First tram to 1.45pm

• Route 1 trams divert via Kings Way, William Street and La Trobe Street between Stop 22 Dorcas Street and Stop 7 RMIT University.
• Route 6 trams run in sections, with no trams between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.
• Route 6a shuttle service runs between Stop 1 Melbourne University and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.
• Route 3, 5, 64 and 72 trams run a shortened service between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
• Route 16 trams run a shortened service between Kew and Stop 14 Arts Precinct and divert via St Kilda Road between
  Stop 30 St Kilda Junction and Stop 35 Brighton Road.
• Route 70 trams run between Wattle Park and Stop 7C MCG/John Cain Arena.
• Route 70a shuttle service runs between Stop 4 Flinders Street Station, Elizabeth Street and Waterfront City, Docklands.

First tram to 12.15pm

• Route 58 trams run in sections with no trams between
  Stop 20 Anzac Station and Stop 119 Wells Street.

First tram to 2pm

• No Route 35 (City Circle) trams will run.

4.30am to 1.45pm

• Route 67 trams run a shortened service between Carnegie and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
• Route 75 trams divert via Spring Street and La Trobe Street between
  Stop 9 Lansdowne Street and Stop D1 Stadium Precinct.

5.45am to 11.30am

• Route 96 trams run a shortened service between East Brunswick and Stop 132 Kilda Station.

Additional service changes to city trams may occur due to a rally from 11.30am.
