Due to road closures associated with the Melbourne Marathon event in the city and Docklands.

Swanston Street 

First tram to 11am

  • Route 1 trams divert via Kings Way, William Street and La Trobe Street between Stop 22 Dorcas Street and Stop 7 RMIT University.
  • Route 6 trams run in sections with no trams between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.
  • A limited Route 6a shuttle service runs between Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station and Stop 1 Melbourne University.
  • Route 3a, 5, 16, 64 and 72 trams run a shortened service between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.

4.30am to 11am

  • Route 67 trams run a shortened service between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.

 

Flinders Street

First tram to 12.40pm

  • Route 70 trams run in sections with no trams between Stop 4 Flinders Street Station, Elizabeth Street and Stop 7C MCG/John Cain Arena.

4.30am to 10.45am

  • Route 75 trams divert via Spring Street and La Trobe Street between Stop 9 Lansdowne Street and Stop D2 Central Pier.

 

Bourke Street

5.45am to 11.10am

  • Route 96 trams run a shortened service between East Brunswick and Stop 132 St Kilda Station.

 

William Street

First tram to 11.40am

  • Route 58 trams run in sections with no trams between Stop 20 Park Street in St Kilda Road and Stop 119 Wells Street.

 

La Trobe Street

First to last tram

  • No Route 30 trams will run.

First tram to 11am

  • No Route 35 City Circle trams will run.

Alternative travel

  • Swanston Street passengers may use City Loop trains between Flinders Street and Melbourne Central Stations.
  • Route 70 passengers may use trains between Flinders Street and Richmond Stations.
  • Route 96 passengers may use Route 3a/16 trams on Fitzroy Street to continue their journey.
  • Route 30 passengers may use Route 86 trams to/from Docklands.
