Reason for service changes
We’re delivering level-access tram stops along La Trobe Street. The second stage of works includes upgrading Stop 5 Melbourne Central Station, Elizabeth Street, Stop 6 Melbourne Central Station, Swanston Street and
Stop 8 Exhibition Street.
Stop 7 Russell Street will be removed as part of the optimisation of tram stops along La Trobe Street.
Service changes
- No Route 30 trams run between St Vincent’s Plaza and Central Pier Docklands.
- Route 35 trams (City Circle) run in both directions between Waterfront City Docklands and Stop 10 Parliament Station via Harbour Esplanade, Flinders Street and Spring Street. No City Circle trams run along
La Trobe Street.

- Stop 3 Flagstaff Station
- Stop 5 Melbourne Central Station, Elizabeth Street
- Stop 6 Melbourne Central Station, Swanston Street
- Stop 7 Russell Street
- Stop 8 Exhibition Street
- Stop 9 La Trobe Street
- Stop 10 Nicholson Street
Pedestrians can walk along the La Trobe Street work zone, refer to signage in the area.

Between Victoria Street and St Vincent's Plaza: 450m / 7mins
Between La Trobe Street and Bourke Street: 450m / 6mins
Between La Trobe Street and Collins Street: 700m / 10mins
Alternative travel options
Towards Waterfront City Docklands
- Route 86 trams along Bourke Street and Spencer Street.
- Route 11 trams from St Vincent's Plaza, then change to trams on Harbour Esplanade.
Towards St Vincent’s Plaza
- Route 11, 12 or 109 trams along Collins Street.
- Local buses 905, 906 and 907 on Lonsdale Street.
Consider trams along Swanston, Elizabeth, or William streets to connect to trams on Bourke or Collins streets.
