Reason for service changes

We're carrying out maintenance and renewal works on Gisborne Street to improve operations and passenger experience.

No trams will run on Gisborne Street and Macarthur Street.

Service changes

10pm Friday 24 February to last tram Thursday 2 March

• Route 11 trams run in sections with no trams between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop 7 101 Collins Street.
• Route 109 trams divert via Bourke Street between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park.
• Route 30 trams will not run. 

10pm Friday 24 February to last tram Wednesday, 1 March

• Route 12a trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park.

Thursday 2 March

First to last tram

• Route 35/City Circle trams will not run. 

First tram to 7pm

• Route 12a trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park.

7pm to last tram 

• Route 12 trams run a shortened service with no trams between Stop 122 Southern Cross Station/Spencer Street and Stop 24 Victoria Gardens.

 Alternative travel options

• Route 11 passengers may use diverting Routes 12a or 109a trams and connect with Swanston Street or Elizabeth Street trams to Collins Street.
• Route 30 passengers may use Route 86 trams on La trobe/Bourke Street or City Loop trains.
• Route 35 City Circle passengers may use free trams within the Free Tram Zone.

Pedestrian access is permitted either side of the work zone, but there is no pedestrian crossing from Victoria Parade to Spring Street. Approximately 13mins / 900m walk.

• Stop 11 Gisborne Street / Albert Street
