Services Resuming

  • City trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Service Changes

Swanston Street

  • No Route 1 and 6 trams run between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Stop 7 RMIT University.

  • No Route 5,16 and 72 trams run between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Melbourne University.
  • Route 3,64 and 67 trams divert via Park Street/Kings Way/William Street and run to Stop 7 Flagstaff Station.

Flinders Street

  • No Route 70 trams run between Stop 4 Flinders St Station/Elizabeth St and Stop 7B Rod Laver Arena.
  • Route 75 trams in both directions divert via La Trobe St/Spring St between Stop D2 Central Pier and Stop 9 Lansdowne St.

Collins Street

  • Route 11 trams in both directions divert via La Trobe Street and run between West Preston and Stop D2 Central Pier.
  • Route 12 and 109 trams in both directions divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 124 Batman Park and Stop 12 St Vincent’s Plaza.
  • No Route 48 trams run between Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Stop 13 Simpson St.

Bourke Street

  • Route 86 and 96 trams divert in both directions via La Trobe Street between Spencer Street and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • A limited Route 86a shuttle service runs between La Trobe Street, Spencer Street and Stop 4 Queen St.

La Trobe Street

  • No Route 30 trams run. Use diverting Route 86 and 96 trams on La Trobe Street between Spencer St and Melbourne Museum as an alternative.
  • No Route 35 (City Circle) trams run.

Due to a rally in the city and an emergency services request in Collins Street.

Service changes

From 9am to 5pm:

Swanston Street

  • Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 7 Flagstaff Station diverting via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street.
  • No Route 1 and Route 6 trams run between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
  • No Route 5, 16 and 72 trams run between the Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Melbourne University.

Flinders Street

  • No Route 70 trams run between Stop 4 Flinders Street Station and Stop 6 Russell St. 
  • Route 75 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 9 Lansdowne St and Central Pier, Docklands.
  • Route 35 (City Circle) trams will not run all day.

If La Trobe Street is impacted

  • Route 30 trams will not run.

If Bourke Street is impacted

  • Route 86 and Route 96 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Spencer Street and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.

Limited shuttle services:

Route 86a between La Trobe Street, Spencer Street and Stop 7 Russell St.

If Collins Street is impacted

  • Route 11 trams divert to Stop D2 Central Pier, Docklands via La Trobe Street.
  • No Route 12 trams run between Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Victoria Gardens. 
  • No Route 48 trams run between Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Stop 7 101 Collins St.
  • Route 109 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park 

If Elizabeth Street is impacted

  • No Route 19 and Route 59 trams will run between Stop 9 Haymarket and Flinders Street Station.
  • No Route 57 trams will run between Stop 8 Peel St and Flinders Street Station.
