Services resuming

City trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Service changes

Swanston Street/St Kilda Road

  • No Route 1 and 6 trams run between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
  • Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 7 Flagstaff Station diverting via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street.
  • No Route 5, 16 and 72 trams run between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Melbourne University.

Service changes

When Swanston Street is impacted

  • No Route 1 trams run between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
  • No Route 6 trams run between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 11 Collins St.
  • Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 7 Flagstaff Station diverting via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street.
  • No Route 5, 16 and 72 trams run between Stop 11 Collins St and Melbourne University.
  • Stop 11 Collins St (southbound) is closed. Use Stop 10 Bourke St Mall or Stop 13 Flinders St Station.

When St Kilda Road is impacted

  • No Route 1 trams run between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 25 Cecil St.
  • Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 7 Flagstaff Station diverting via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street.
  • No Route 5, 6, 16 and 72 trams run between Stop 20 ANZAC Station and Melbourne University.

If La Trobe Street impacted

  • Route 30 trams will not run.
  • City Circle trams run between Stop 6 Russell St and Docklands via Harbour Esplanade and Flinders Street.

If Collins Street impacted

  • Route 11 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and D2 Central Pier
  • Route 12 and 109 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent’s Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park
  • No Route 48 trams run between Stop 7 101 Collins St and Docklands

If Bourke Street impacted

  • Route 86 and 96 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Spencer Street and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • Limited shuttle services run as Route 86a and 96a between Stop 4 Queen St and Stop D1 Stadium Precinct/Stop 124 Batman Park

If Flinders Street impacted

  • No Route 70 trams run between Stop 6 Russell St and Stop 4 Flinders St Station.
  • Route 75 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 9 Lansdowne St and Central Pier, Docklands.
