- No Route 30 and City Circle trams are running.

Update 11.50am

- Route 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72 have resumed following the earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore normal frequency. 

- Route 86 and 96 trams in both directions divert via La Trobe Street between Melbourne Museum and Southern Cross Station.

- No Route 30 and City Circle trams are running.

- Consider City Loop trains to connect.

- Route 1 trams divert via Kings Way, William Street & La Trobe Street  between Stop 22 Dorcas St and Stop 7 RMIT University.

- Route 6, 64 and 72 trams diver via Park Street, Kings Way, William Street & La Trobe Street  between Stop 22 Toorak Rd and Stop 7 RMIT University.

- Route 3, 5, 16 and 67 trams run between the south eastern suburbs and Stop 13 Flinders Street Station, Swanston St.

- No Route 30 and City Circle trams are running.

- Swanston St passengers can walk between stops to continue their journey or consider Elizabeth Street tram services to connect. Alternatively consider City Loop trains.

Reason for changes:

Major disruption to City trams due to a rally.

Tram service changes:

We expect the following areas will be affected during the rally:

  • Swanston Street
  • La Trobe Street
  • Bourke Street

Alternative travel options:

We recommend using City Loop trains as an alternative. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
