Buses replace Route 78 trams

Emergency works are taking place along Chapel Street.

Date and time

From first tram Friday 22 November until last tram Thursday 5 December.

Service Changes 

Buses replace Route 78 trams between Balaclava and North Richmond.

Replacement buses to Balaclava divert around the work zone via Toorak Road, Williams Road and Malvern Road.

Replacement buses to North Richmond divert around the work zone via Commercial Road, Punt Road and Toorak Road.

Replacement buses run to a normal frequency during works however, there may be delays due to traffic congestion in the area.

Buses will service existing stops where possible.

Alternative travel 

Passengers may consider the following alternative travel options:

• Route 3 / 16 and 67 trams
• Sandringham/Frankston/Cranbourne/Pakenham line trains
• Bus 246 in Punt Road
