Service changes apply across the network due to road closures for the Anzac Day Commemorative March.
Tram service changes
Collins Street
First tram to 12.30pm
No trams run on Collins Street between Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Stop 7 101 Collins St.
Route 11 trams run between:
- West Preston and Stop 7 101 Collins St
- Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Victoria Harbour Docklands
Route 12 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent’s Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park.
Route 48 trams run between North Balwyn and Stop 7 101 Collins St.
Route 109 trams divert via Bourke Street between Stop 12 St Vincent’s Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park.
Flinders Street
First tram to 1pm
No trams run on Flinders Street between Stop 2 Melbourne Aquarium and Stop 6 Russell St.
Route 35 (City Circle) trams run between Stop 2 Melbourne Aquarium and Stop 6 Russell St via Docklands, La Trobe and Spring streets. City Circle trams service tram stops in both directions.
Route 70 trams run between:
- Wattle Park and Stop 6 Russell St
- Stop 2 Melbourne Aquarium and Waterfront City Docklands
Route 75 trams run between Vermont South and Stop 6 Russell St.
Swanston Street and St Kilda Road
First tram to 1.45pm
No trams run on Swanston Street and St Kilda Road between Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station and Stop 20 Anzac Station.
Route 1 trams run between:
- East Coburg and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station
- South Melbourne Beach and Stop 17 Arts Precinct on Sturt Street.
No Route 1 trams run between Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station and Stop 17 Arts Precinct on Sturt Street.
Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between the suburbs and Stop 7 Flagstaff Station, diverting via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street.
Route 5, 16 and 72 trams run between suburbs and Stop 17 Arts Precinct on Sturt Street, diverting via Park Street and Kings Way.
Route 6 trams run between:
- Moreland and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station
- Glen Iris and Stop 17 Arts Precinct on Sturt St, diverting via Park Street and Kings Way.
No Route 6 trams run between Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station and Stop 17 Arts Precinct on Sturt Street.
Swanston Street shuttle trams run as Route 6a between Stop 1 Melbourne University and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.

For a taxi service between closed stops during tram service changes passengers can call Transport Victoria on 1800 800 007 or speak to a customer service employee.
Travellers Aid, from 4.30am to 1pm
Travellers Aid is available to assist passengers attending the ANZAC Day Dawn Service and the ANZAC Day Commemorative March. The Travellers Aid service will be stopped during the Dawn Service between 5.30am and 6.30am.
Reservations are not required for these services.
- Minibus shuttle service runs between Anzac Station, near Exit 4 on Domain Road, and Shrine of Remembrance in Birdwood Ave. Wheelchair support is then available to the accessible viewing area. The minibus does not have a ramp or a mobility aid restraint system, but may be used by people using foldable wheelchairs or mobility devices.
- Power-assisted wheelchair support between Stop 19 Shrine of Remembrance in St Kilda Road to the Shrine of Remembrance or the Parking / Buses area on Birdwood Ave.
