Swanston Street trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Service Changes

Due to a car blocking tracks in Swanston Street at Franklin Street

• Route 1/6 trams to South Melbourne Beach/Glen Iris are delayed
• No Route 3/5/16/64/67/72 trams run between Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station and Melbourne University.

Alternative travel

• Passengers for Glen Iris may consider Glen Waverly line trains
• Passengers for South Melbourne may consider Route 12/96 trams
• Passengers in Swanston Street may walk to connect between stops (up to 700m / 10min walk)

This disruption is expected to take some time to clear. Plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
