Disruption to city trams - Sunday 19 October

Services Resuming 

  • Route 11,12,109 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable
  • Route 70 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.
  • Route 1,6,5,16,72 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.
  • Route 86 and Route 96 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Service changes

Bourke Street
  • Route 86 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop D1 Docklands Stadium and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • Route 96 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 122 Southern Cross Station and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • A limited shuttle tram service will run as Route 86A between Stop 4 Queen Street and Docklands.
     

Swanton Street

  • No Route 1 and 6 trams run between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Stop 7 RMIT University
  • No Route 5,16 and 72 trams run between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Melbourne University.
  • No Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between Stop 20 Anzac Station and Melbourne University. Trams divert from Stop 20 Anzac Station via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street to Stop 7 Flagstaff Station.

Collins Street 

Due to an emergency services request in Bridge Road

  • Route 48 trams to Docklands divert via Barkers Road/Victoria Street between Stop 29 Barkers Rd and Stop 8 Spring Street

Flinders Street 

Due to an emergency services request in Bridge Road

  • Route 75 trams to Docklands divert via Swan Street between Stop 29 Riversdale Junction and Stop 6 Russell St.

Expected impact to services: more than 4 hours

Passengers may use City Loop trains.

Planned service changes from first to last tram

  • No Route 35 (City Circle) trams run.

Planned service changes from 10am to 5pm

  • No Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between Stop 20 Anzac Station and Melbourne University. Trams divert from Stop 20 Anzac Station via Park Street, Kings Way and William Street to Stop 7 Flagstaff Station.

When Swanston Street is affected

  • No Route 1 and Route 6 trams run between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
  • No Route 5, 16 and 72 trams run between the Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Melbourne University.

When La Trobe Street is affected

  • No Route 30 trams run. Use diverting Route 86a and Route 96a trams on La Trobe Street between Spencer Street and Melbourne Museum as an alternative.

When Spring Street/Bourke Street is affected

  • Route 86 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop D1 Docklands Stadium and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • Route 96 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 122 Southern Cross Station and Stop 11 Melbourne Museum.
  • Limited shuttle services run as Route 86a between Stop 4 Queen St and Waterfront City, Docklands.

When Collins Street is affected

  • No Route 11 trams run between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Victoria Harbour, Docklands. Trams divert from Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza via La Trobe Street to Central Pier, Docklands. 
  • No Route 12 trams run between Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Victoria Gardens. 
  • No Route 48 trams run between Stop 5 Elizabeth St and Stop 13 Simpson St.
  • Route 109 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park. 

When Flinders Street is affected

  • No Route 70/75 trams run between Stop 4 Flinders Street Station and Stop 6 Russell St.
