Bridge Road Resurfacing Works

We’re completing re-surfacing works of the tram reserve along Bridge Road between Punt Road and Church Street, Richmond. 

This will improve the safety and reliability for road users in the shared tram zone. 

Work activities include: 

• Re-surfacing the tram reserve along Bridge Road, between Punt Road and Church Street, Richmond. 
• Line marking. 
• Loop cutting. 

Impacts: 

• 24/7 works. 
• High levels of noise.  
• Major delays on roads of up to 30+ mins. 
• Service changes to tram routes 48 and 75  
• Businesses located around the works will remain open. Please continue to support local business during these essential works. 
• Allow extra time and plan ahead at transport.vic.gov.au/bridgeroad 

Public transport 

Tram routes 48 and 75 along Bourke Street will be impacted. For more information closer to time of works, visit: yarratrams.com.au/service-changes 

Pedestrians: 

Footpaths will remain open around the works area. There may be temporary footpath closures where we are upgrading the footpaths. Temporary detours may be in place. Please follow the signage around the works.
