Yarra Trams transports thousands to F1

It was a big weekend for all of us here at Yarra Trams!
On top of our day-to-day service taking Melburnians to work, to meet with their friends, shop in the CBD, or to dinner and a show, we also carried more than 172,000 additional passengers to Albert Park for the Formula One Grand Prix on Thursday-Sunday last week.
We put on more than 1,500 safe Australian Grand Prix services over four days to get F1 fans track-side quickly and easily. All up, last week was the busiest we’ve seen on the tram network since the start of the pandemic with nearly 2.7 million passengers boarding our trams.
