Yarra Trams launches Accessibility Action Plan

We are proud to share our recently launched Accessibility Action Plan (AAP) 2022 –2024.

The AAP sets out our strategic direction towards disability inclusion within our organisation as we operate our large, legacy network across Melbourne. One major shift we’ve made is to move to adopt the social model of disability to focus on identifying and removing barriers to our services and improving inclusion within our business.  

We see the AAP as an important action plan as we progress to offer a better, more equitable and sustainable service.

There is still more work be done as we strive to build a fully accessible network, but we believe that with our ongoing partnerships with the Department of Transport and our AAP delivery partners, we are on the right track and contributing to a more accessible Melbourne.
