Route 19 wins gold

🥇 Route 19 has taken the gold medal in ABC Radio Melbourne's tram elimination competition! 🥇

Host Sammy J has been running this competition over the last few weeks and our Head of Network Planning and Development, Ian Hopkins, dialed in this morning to help Sammy J reveal the winner, with Route 19 edging out the other finalists (Routes 6, 16, and 59) to take the crown.

Running from Flinders Street in the CBD to North Coburg, Route 19 is a worthy winner, providing services to commuters coming into the city as well as servicing 'counter peak' demand from Queen Victoria Market, the University of Melbourne campus, the Royal Melbourne hospital precinct, Melbourne Zoo, and busy Sydney Road. Route 19 is also our most serviced route, with approximately 8,700 route 19 trams running every month!
