Priority areas on low-floor trams
Monday 29 June 2015
Public Transport Victoria (PTV) has allocated funds to fit floor markings on all C and D-Class trams, to identify two priority areas for customers who use mobility aids.
It is a requirement in the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport (DSAPT) that every accessible vehicle has two designated priority areas.
The first C-Class tram was fitted on Thursday 18 June, with all other low-floor trams to be fitted over the next couple of weeks.
The below tram schematics show the location of the priority areas on different tram classes.
