Yarra Trams completes solar installation

Yarra Trams is helping fight climate change, with 860 rooftop solar panels installed across our depots cutting more than 500 tonnes of emissions and generating more than 500 megawatt-hours of electricity annually.

The final panels for the project came online at our Kew Depot in February. The electricity they generate will power our depot operations.

The systems were installed with $1.5 million from the Victorian Government’s Greener Government Buildings program, supporting the state government’s commitment to achieve net-zero emissions.
