Disruption on Routes 48,70,75,96,109,112 due to truck accident

Due to a truck rollover at the intersection of Flinders and Spencer Streets, trams on Routes 48, 70, 75, 96, 109 and 112 are being disrupted this morning, Wednesday 24 February 2010.

The incident occurred just before 4.30 this morning, blocking the tram tracks at that location.

Services on Collins Street (routes 48, 109 and 112) are terminating in Collins Street at Spencer Street.

Route 96 trams on Bourke Street are terminating in Bourke Street at Spencer Street.

Route 109 trams from Port Melbourne and trams from St Kilda on Routes 96 and 112 are all terminating in Spencer Street at Batman Park (one stop south of Flinders Street just outside the World Congress Centre.).

Trams on Flinders Street routes 70 and 75 are terminating at King Street.  A shuttle service is operating from Flinders Street West (just west of Spencer Street) to Harbour Esplanade at Bourke Street.

Customer service employees are directing passengers to the nearest stop to their journey.
