Collins Street and Gurners Lane, Melbourne - minor civil works

Yarra Trams and Public Transport Victoria (PTV) will be carrying out finishing works on Collins Street and Gurners Lane as part of the completion of the level access tram stop on the corner of William Street.
In addition to recent works to the kerbing on Gurners Lane, Yarra Trams will be undertaking a realignment of the pit on Collins Street (north-east corner of William Street). One bike stand on the west side of Gurners Lane will be reloacted to the east side of Gurners Lane.
Timing
Saturday, 16 July 2016
This work will be conducted from 8am until 5pm. Works are being carried out on the weekend to minimise disruption to tram passengers and motorists.
Tram passengers
All Collins Street tram services will remain unaffected.
Motorists
There will be no road closures during these works.
Pedestrians
Work areas will be cordoned off with bollards to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Pedestrians will be guided around work areas.
Minimal noise disruption
Associated noise from machinery, vehicles and work crews is unavoidable during these works, however our workers will be mindful of keeping noise to a minimum.
The use of reverse beepers and flashing lights is a safety requirement and these devices cannot be switched off.
Supporting local business
Yarra Trams is working closely with City of Melbourne to minimise the impact of this work on the local community.
