CBD - Public Event: White Night - Saturday 17 February to Sunday 18 February

Service changes

Extra trams operating all night on most CBD routes from 4.30pm Saturday 17 February to 8.30am Sunday 18 February, with service changes due to road closures associated with White Night.

From 4.30pm Saturday to 8.20am Sunday

  • Route 1 trams operating in sections, with no trams between Stop 3 Lincoln Square and Stop 22 Dorcas Street. Trams towards East Coburg diverting after Stop 22 via Kings Way along Route 58, to Stop 116 City Road.
  • Route 3a/64/67 trams operating between the suburbs and Stop 20 Domain Interchange, then diverting via Kings Way and William Street along Route 58, to Stop 8 Franklin Street (near Queen Victoria Market).
  • Route 5/16  trams operating between the suburbs and Stop 20 Domain Interchange, then diverting via Kings Way along Route 58, to Stop 116 City Road.
  • Route 6 trams operating in sections, with no trams between Stop 3 Lincoln Square and a temporary stop on High Street near St Kilda Road.
  • Route 72 trams operating between Camberwell and a temporary stop on Commercial Road near St Kilda Road.

Passengers may wish consider Route 3a/64/67 trams to connect between St Kilda Road and the White Night CBD precinct.

From 5pm Saturday to 8.30am Sunday

  • Route 70/75 trams operating in sections, with no trams between Stop 4 Flinders Street Station and Stop 6 Russell Street.
  • Route 11/12/48 trams operating in sections, with no trams between Stop 5 Elizabeth Street and Stop 7 101 Collins Street.
  • Route 19/57/59 trams operating between the suburbs and Stop 5 Melbourne Central Station.
  • Route 86 trams operating in sections, with no trams between Stop 4 Queen Street and Stop 7 Russell Street.
  • Route 96 trams diverting via La Trobe Street, between Stop 11 Victoria Parade and Stop 122 Southern Cross Station.
  • Route 109 trams diverting via La Trobe Street, between Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza and Stop 124 Batman Park.

Other Information

  • Route 58 trams will operate as normal, but at a higher frequency.
  • Route 78/82 trams will operate to a normal Saturday timetable & frequency.
  • City Circle trams will operate until 5pm only.

During these changes, trams will operate to a higher than usual frequency; however some trams will only operate along part of the route to service areas of high passenger demand.
