Reason for service changes

We’re completing works on tram tracks and overhead wires along St Georges Road, Fitzroy North.

Service changes

Route 11 trams run as Route 11a, with buses replacing trams between Stop 12 St Vincent’s Plaza and West Preston, diverting around the work zone.

Replacement buses are low-floor depending on availability. Please speak to our Customer Service team or alert your driver if you need assistance.

Stops not serviced by replacement buses

To West Preston

• Stop 23 Park St (use Stop 22 Scotchmer St, up to 250m / 3 min walk)
• Stop 24 Holden St (use Stop 22 Scotchmer St, up to 450m / 6 min walk)
• Stop 25 Miller St (use Stop 27 Westbourne Gr, up to 550m / 7 min walk)
• Stop 26 Clarke St (use Stop 27 Westbourne Gr, up to 230m / 3 min walk)

To Victoria Harbour Docklands

• Stop 23 Park St (use Stop 22 Scotchmer St, up to 190m / 2 min walk)
• Stop 24 Holden St (use Stop 22 Scotchmer St, up to 450m / 6 min walk)
• Stop 25 Miller St (use Stop 26 Clarke St, up to 290m / 4 min walk)

Alternative travel options

If possible, avoid the area and consider alternative transport options for the duration of works. Allow at least 30 minutes extra journey time. Traffic congestion in the area may cause delays to buses and other trams in the area.

• Route 86 trams along Smith Street, Queens Parade and High Street.
• Route 96 trams along Nicholson Street
• Mernda line trains between Merri and Thornbury Stations. Please note, there will be night works on Mernda line trains Sunday 25 November to Wednesday 28 November.
  
  

During works, trams and replacement buses will run to the normal frequency, however they may not arrive at the scheduled time due to traffic congestion. Plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
