Stage 4 COVID-19 restriction - reduced tram services

Monday 3 August to Tuesday 29 September 2020

Tram service changes

Metropolitan Melbourne has moved to Stage 4 restrictions with stronger rules in place to limit movement.

From 8pm each night, tram frequency has been reduced with up to 40 minutes between services. Trams are still running after 8pm to ensure all permitted workers can get to and from work.

From Monday 28 September, normal frequency will be extended until 9pm each night.

All Night Network services, which run after midnight on Friday and Saturday nights, have been suspended for the duration of Stage 4 restrictions.

Please plan ahead using the PTV Journey Planner and check disruptions information before you travel. If you need help with journey planning, please call us on 1800 800 007.

Visit the Department of Health and Human Services website for more information on the Stage 4 restrictions and the latest advice on coronavirus (COVID-19).

Services will continue to operate on a normal timetable each day between 5am and 8pm for essential travel.
