Public Event - AFL Grand Final Parade - Friday 28 September

Due to road closures associated with the AFL Grand Final Parade, service changes apply on some city trams on Friday 28 September.

Service changes

From 9.30am to 1.45pm

• Route 11a trams will run between West Preston and Stop 12 St Vincent’s Plaza.
• Route 48a trams will run between North Balwyn and Stop 13 Simpson Street.
• Extra trams will run along Collins Street between Victoria Harbour Docklands and Stop 7 101 Collins Street.
• Route 12a & 109a trams will divert via La Trobe St between St Vincent’s Plaza and Southern Cross Station.
• City Circle trams will run a shortened service between Waterfront City Docklands and Stop 6 Russell Street, via Harbour Esplanade and Flinders Street.

From 10.15am to 1.45pm

• Route 75 trams will divert via Swan Street along Route 70, between Stop 6 Russell Street and Stop 29 Riversdale Junction.
• Extra trams will run along Bridge Road, Power Street and Riversdale Road between Stop 13 Simpson Street and Stop 39 Camberwell Depot.

Tram stop changes

• Stops 8 to 11 on Collins Street and Macarthur Street will be closed.
• Stops along La Trobe Street and Spring Street will not be serviced by City Circle trams.
• Stops 8 to 11 on Flinders Street and Wellington Parade will be closed. 

Passengers may wish to consider trains between Jolimont and City Loop stations. 

During the event, trams will run to a Saturday frequency, however they may not arrive at the scheduled time. Plan your journey and allow extra travel time.
