Reason for service changes

We're preparing to build three new accessible stops along Nicholson Street on Route 96, between Brunswick Road and Blyth Street. The preliminary works required include surrounding road and footpath works. 

Service changes

The following tram stop closures apply on the Route 96.

Monday 8 April to Friday 3 May

  • Stop 25 Albert St (both directions)
    Use the temporary stops at the corner of Albert and Nicholson streets, up to 50m / 1 min walk.

Monday 8 April to Friday 10 May

  • Stop 24 Glenlyon Rd (both directions)
    Use Stop 25 Albert St for travel towards East Brunswick, up to 300m / 4 min walk.
    Use Stop 23 Miller St for travel towards St Kilda Beach, up to 300m / 4 min walk.

    Please note, temporary tram stops apply to some of these locations.

Saturday 13 April to Friday 10 May

  • Stop 23 Miller St (towards East Brunswick)
    Use the temporary stop located across the Miller Street / Nicholson Street intersection (towards East Brunswick), up to 85m / 1 min walk.

Due to changes to local traffic conditions, we encourage you to plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
