Extra trams for events in January - Cricket, Soccer, Markets and Festivals

We’ve organised extra trams for the below events during January. While timetabled trams run to their normal frequency, times may differ due to traffic congestion around event venues. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.

MCG

  • Tuesday 1 January – WBBL Melbourne Stars v Melbourne Renegades, BBL Melbourne Stars v Melbourne Renegades.
  • Wednesday 9 January – BBL Melbourne Stars v Perth Scorchers.
  • Monday 14 January – WBBL Melbourne Stars v Sydney Sixers, BBL Melbourne Stars v Hobart Hurricanes.
  • Friday 18 January – One Day International Cricket Australia v India.
  • Sunday 27 January – BBL Melbourne Stars v Brisbane Heat.

Extra tram services run as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Melbourne Arena or as Route 75a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG. Passengers using Southern Cross Station can connect with Route 48 trams on Collins Street.

Extra trams running along Flinders Street to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.

AAMI Park

  • Sunday 6 January – A-League soccer - Melbourne City v Newcastle Jets.
  • Friday 11 January – A-League soccer - Melbourne City v Brisbane Roar.
  • Saturday 12 January – A-League soccer - Melbourne Victory v Newcastle Jets.
  • Saturday 19 January – A-League soccer - Melbourne City v Perth Glory.
  • Sunday 20 January – A-League soccer - Melbourne Victory v Wellington Phoenix.
  • Tuesday 22 January – A-League soccer - Melbourne City v Western Sydney Wanderers.
  • Saturday 26 January – A-League soccer - Melbourne Victory v Sydney FC.
