Police incident in Bourke Street/Swanston Street

Update: 8.35pm Friday 9 November

Due to a police incident in Bourke St/Swanston St, there is a disruption affecting trams along Swanston Street and Bourke Street.

Bourke Street remains closed from Exhibition Street to Swanston Street until further notice.

You may consider City Loop trains and Elizabeth St trams to connect with diverting trams and other services. Please avoid the area if possible and follow instructions by Victoria Police.
Route 86 and 96 trams in both directions are diverting via La Trobe St between Stop 11 Melbourne Museum and Spencer St.
Route 1 trams are diverting via Kings Way, William St and La Trobe St between Stop 22 Dorcas St and Stop 7 RMIT University.
Route 6 trams are diverting via Park St, Kings Way, William St and La Trobe St between Stop 22 Toorak Rd and Stop 7 RMIT University.
No Route 3, 5, 16, 64, 67 & 72 trams are running between Stop 11 Collins St and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.
