Extra trams for events in March

Extra trams will operate during March for the following events. While timetabled trams will operate to their normal frequency, some may not arrive at their scheduled time due to traffic congestion around event venues. We suggest you allow extra time for your journey.

Etihad Stadium

  • Friday 10 March at 7pm - Concert - Justin Bieber
  • Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 March at 8pm - Concert - Adele
  • Saturday 25 March at 4.35pm - AFL St Kilda v Melbourne
  • Sunday 26 March at 1.10pm - AFL - North Melbourne v West Coast

Extra trams will operate as Route 30a & 86a between East Melbourne and Stop D1 Etihad Stadium via La Trobe Street and Bourke Street.

MCG/Hisense Arena

  • Saturday 4 March at 7pm - Netball - Magies v Giants
  • Saturday 4 March at 8.45pm - Netball - Vixens v Swifts
  • Saturday 11 March at 7pm - Netball - Vixens v Fever
  • Thursday 23 March at 7.20pm - AFL - Carlton v Richmond
  • Friday 24 March at 7.50pm - AFL - Collingwood v Western Bulldogs
  • Saturday 25 March at 7pm - Netball - Vixens v Giants
  • Saturday 25 March at 7.25pm - AFL - Essendon v Melbourne
  • Thursday 30 March at 7.20pm - AFL - Richmond v Collingwood

Extra trams will operate as Route 70a   between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Hisense Arena, or as  Route 75a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG. Customers using Southern Cross Station can connect with  Route 48 trams on Collins Street.

Margaret Court/Rod Laver Arena

  • Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 March at 8pm - Concert - Pixies
  • Wednesday 8 March at 7.30pm - Concert - Don Henley

Extra trams will operate as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7B Rod Laver Arena or Stop 7D AAMI Park.

AAMI Park

  • Saturday 11 March at 7.50pm - Soccer - Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory
  • Thursday 16 March at 8pm - Rugby League - Melbourne Storm v Brisbane Broncos
  • Friday 17 March at 7.30pm - Rugby Union - Melbourne Rebels v Gallagher Chiefs
  • Saturday 18 March at 7.50pm - Soccer - Melbourne City v Newcastle Jets
  • Friday 24 March at 7.30pm - Rugby Union - Melbourne Rebels v NSW Waratahs

Extra trams will operate as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7D AAMI Park.

Carlton, Ikon Park

  • Saturday 4 March at 11.35am - AFLW - Carlton v Western Bulldogs
  • Saturday 18 March at 3.35pm - AFLW - Carlton v Brisbane Lions

After the match, extra trams will operate as Route 19a between Stop 16 Walker Street and Stop 1 Flinders Street Station.

Extra trams operating along Flinders Street or Bourke Street to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.
