December 2015 performance results

Yarra Trams' punctuality and service delivery for December were fairly consistent with the same time last year, with 98.52 per cent of timetabled services delivered and 81.65 per cent of these services arriving on time.

The results were mainly affected by increased patronage in the lead up to Christmas, and third-party works and the widening of the Tullamarine Freeway which created increased traffic along some lines. Days of extreme heat also affected tram operations across the network.

Final preparations for Night Network were completed for the successful launch on 1 January 2016. There is a strong focus on preparations in the lead up to further days of extreme heat.
